Dear A., I notice more and more that I go to parties in Belgrade rather to get inspired than to have fun in a crowd. My favorites are those, where a medium circle of regulars, both foreign and local, meets. The mix becomes so weird then that I wonder what could have brought all these people together. On a party like this, some are known to me, but the rest are total strangers. And it means I can create as many stories about them in my mind, as I care to. Are these two friends or lovers? Do these ones hate each other behind their smiles? When I visit a party like this, I feel entering a laboratory full of possible story lines. The room becomes a chemistry flask in which I observe an interrelation of particles. Or a box full of figures, out which I construct all kinds of combinations.
